Unia szykuje inwigilację obywateli. Trafimy na specjalną listę

The EU would like to look into your pocket. There is a specific plan

The European Union is investigating the possibility of creating a special register that would include anyone with sufficiently high assets. The thing is that in many cases, having a flat is enough to be included there.

The European Commission, at the request of the European Parliament, is conducting a study on the registration of assets of citizens of the Member States. Their aim is, among other things, to verify whether the creation of such a register will be consistent with fundamental rights and the protection of personal data. If the European Asset Register is created, many of us will be included in it — informs Interia.

European Asset Register

The idea is not entirely new. The idea of creating a European Asset Register was born in 2021. Since then, the European Commission has been denying that such a database does not need to be created. It is supposed to be just an idea that is being studied. However, there is no point in deluding ourselves, since such studies were commissioned, they were done for a purpose, and that purpose is to create a register of the assets of European Union citizens.

Anyone with assets of at least 200,000 euros would be included on the list. Real estate can also be taken into account, not only commercial or rental properties, but also our private apartments. According to the current exchange rate, 200 thousand euros is about 860 thousand zlotys, so in larger cities it will be easy to reach such a level.

Moreover, it is not only real estate that can decide about our wealth. The European Union may also take into account bank accounts, securities, precious metals or works of art. The final list has not yet been created, but the aim is to combat money laundering and terrorism financing. However, experts are already sounding the alarm and talking about surveillance of citizens. Some fear that such a register could lead to the introduction of new taxes on property or even expropriation.
