The end of HBO Max. New Max service in Poland from June

Warner Bros. Discovery officially confirmed the debut of the Max website on the Polish market, which also means the end of HBO Max in its current form. This will happen in June.

About the fact that Warner Bros. Discovery has been planning such a transformation of its VoD service offer for at least several months. Now, however, the company has provided more details details of Max’s entry into Poland. Viewers will be able to watch series, films shown shortly after their cinema premieres, documentaries, as well as television and international programs sport events.

Max in Poland – what to expect?

Max aims to provide subscribers with over a library twice as large compared to HBO Max. In addition to the already known HBO offer, we will see additional content from the offer Warner Brosas well as productions known from TVN and Player. The new website strongly focuses on local productions and will also offer access to the most popular ones TV channels in various thematic categories, including local and global news stations – TVN24 and CNN.

Jas early as June 17 The long-awaited debut will debut on the Max platform the second season of the HBO Original series “Rood of the Dragon“. Max subscribers will gain access to films already known to HBO, such as “Barbie”, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and “Wonka”, as well as original HBO productions – “True Detective: Nightmare”, “The Regime”, “The Sympathy” and the premiere of the second season of the series “Cursed: The Life and Death of Robert Durst”.

Coming to the website later this year Polish documentaries Max Original will debut – “The King of Zanzibar”, “The Skin Hunters” or “Hope” by Martyna Wojciechowska. Max in Poland is also working on two new series productions, the shooting of which will begin soon. Max in Poland – what variants of the offer?

Warner Bros. Discovery is not yet revealing the exact price list of the new Max offer, but it is known that they will be available three packages with the option of purchasing a monthly or annual subscription. Interestingly, users in Poland will be able to access the website’s content also in the AdLite model – at a favorable price combined with a limited quantity ads. This solution is already known to Player. Additionally, you must take into account that the channels and content available live within each package may also contain advertisements.

All in all, the offer is to be made up of the following main plans:

• Basic package: Full HD quality, available on two devices at the same time, lower price will result in a limited number of advertisements,
• Standard Package: Full HD quality, no ads, on two devices at the same time, ability to download up to 30 offline titles,
• Premium Package: Full HD or 4K quality, no ads, Dolby Atmos sound in selected titles, available on four devices at the same time, ability to download up to 100 titles.

It will also be available “TV and Sport Channels” additional package, which will offer access to a library of live channels, including: news stations – TVN24 and CNN, entertainment stations – TVN, TVN7, children’s stations – Cartoon Network and Cartoonito, as well as sports stations – Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 and reports from the most important sports events, including tennis Grand Slams, Ski Jumping World Cup, Speedway Grand Prix, cycling grand tours, 24 Hours of Le Mans and much more.

The “TV and Sport Channels” package will be available with a monthly feeas an addition to each base package.
