The platform maintains its level and impresses with its premieres, especially in November. For some reason, this is the month is full of new things and attracts even the most stubborn opponents of cinema to the screen. But there’s no reason to be surprised. At the beginning of November, titles such as “Death Becomes Her”, films from the “Bad Boys” series and “Kung Fu Panda” debuted on the Max platform. Max still holds his ground. This week, another film classic will hit the platform: “Gladiator”. It will premiere on Max on Friday, November 15.

You have to admit that it is the perfect time for a screening, just before the premiere of its epic sequel “Gladiator II”. The premiere of the sequel to the Oscar-winning show is scheduled for November 22, 2024.

An epic story about Gladiators

This film is already a real legend and a record holder in terms of awards granted. “Gladiator” won a total of 32 awards and 60 nominations. Including as many as five Oscars in the most important categories, i.e. for the best film, for the best leading actor, for the best special effects, costumes and sound. It’s a real combo when it comes to emotional and artistic experiences.

The cast is also one of the hottest: Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix are a guarantee of good cinema.

Gladiator – what is the movie about?

At its finest, the film is nothing less than the epic tale of General Maximus (Russel Crowe). It begins when the dying Marcus Aurelius wants to make him his successor. And this is where the whole story of the struggle for power begins. The rightful heir to the title – Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) decides to get rid of his rival in a perfidious way.
