Thanks to AI, the company does not have to recruit
As Bussiness Insider reports, Sabastian SiemiÄ…tkowski, CEO of Klarna, says that the company stopped recruiting a year agodue to the fact that employees are very well relieved by artificial intelligence. Despite posting job ads online, the company is not hiring to expand its workforce. Sometimes it just fills in missing positions, mainly engineering ones. There is no other need. All because this modern fintech company relies entirely on AI. In an interview with Bloomberg TV, the executive said that in his opinion, artificial intelligence can already do all the jobs that we humans do.
I think what we did internally wasn’t widely commented on. We stopped hiring about a year ago, so we had 4,500 employees, and now we’re at 3,500. We have turnover like every other tech company (…) By not hiring, we’re just shrinking
– said Klarna’s general director.
Klarna is a company that serves over 85 million consumers and cooperates with approximately 600,000 sellers from around the world. It offers customers the opportunity to delay payment for online purchases. It works with technology giants such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and even OpenAI.
