Zaskakujące doniesienia. Chodzi o karty GeForce RTX 50 do laptopów

Surprising news. These are GeForce RTX 50 cards for laptops

NVIDIA is preparing not only desktop versions of the new generation of GeForce RTX 50 Blackwell graphics cards. Laptop models are also being prepared. However, their specification is a bit surprising.

The first GeForce RTX 50 graphics card with Blackwell architecture should debut this year. It will almost certainly be the desktop version of the RTX 5090, and we will have to wait until next year for the next models. In addition, NVIDIA is also preparing laptop versions and we have just learned their partial specifications.

GeForce RTX 50 Laptop specifications

Reports from Moore's Law is Dead show that the most powerful GeForce RTX 50 models for laptops will be equipped with 16 GB of VRM memory. This applies to both the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 models.

This may be surprising, after all, the desktop version will probably offer at least 24 GB (like RTX 4090), but on the other hand, a similar situation occurred already in this generation, at least in the case of the most powerful variant. The RTX 480 has 12 GB of VRAM, so there will be a significant improvement in this case.

As for the other models, it looks like this:

  • GeForce RTX 5090 – 16 GB VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5080 – 16 GB VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5070 – 12 GB VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5060 – 8 GB VRAM

As you can see, the RTX xx70 series will also gain more memory, because the RTX 4070 in the laptop version has only 8 GB. It is also worth recalling that the new models will be equipped with faster GDDR7 modules, which should translate not only into higher throughputs (using the same buses), but also slightly lower energy consumption.
