Strange Intel processor tested. The result is a positive surprise

Tests of the latest American processor have appeared on the web. However, these are not Intel’s upcoming Lunar Lake or Arrow Lake series.

Despite the ongoing scandal with Intel Core 13th and 14th generation processors, which have stability and degradation issues, the Blues quietly released new systems in July. We are talking about eleven different models without the energy-saving E-type cores. Here we will find only high-performance P-type cores.

Single-threaded performance is best

The focus was on the Intel Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9 series in classic versions, unlocked and with lower clock speeds and power consumption. Curious? Well, it’s a good thing, because the flagship model was tested.

Intel Core i9-14901KE is an 8-core and 16-thread processor with a base clock speed of 3.8 GHz and up to 5.8 GHz in Turbo mode. It was tested in the test program Geekbench6. The test platform was a game server from Cloud Skyequipped with 128 GB of RAM and an operating system Windows 10.

We are talking about a score of 3018 points for single-threaded performance and 16,308 points for multi-threaded performance. Thus depending on the task, it will be between Intel Core i9-14900KF and Core i7-14700KF or when the entire CPU is loaded, between Core i9-12900K and Core i7-13700Kwhich have 16 cores.

At the moment, the new processors cannot be found in stores and this is unlikely to change, apart from platforms such as AliExpress. The new systems were not designed with the consumer segment in mindand the OEM market (ready-made computer kits) and servers.
