Paribas oszustwo na telefon

Strange connections plague Poles. BNP Paribas explains

BNP Paribas bank customers are once again targeted by fraudsters. They should be on their guard when they receive a call.

Warning, a bot is calling you

BNP Paribas bank customers are once again targeted by criminals. As soon as they pick up the phone, a bot calls them, which then redirects them to a fake bank employee. This is a new type of fraud that BNP Paribas is warning against. Unfortunately, it’s easy to fall for it.

For several days now, we have been receiving information about a new method of fraud. It involves a call made to bank customers from an unknown telephone number. After the call is answered, an automated voiceover speaks, giving a few numbers to choose from, and after selecting any option, the customer connects with a fraudster who pretends to be a bank employee.

– we read in a statement on the BNP Paribas website.

Of course, this is nothing more than phishing for our data. Cybercriminals want to obtain login data and in the same way, gain access to our account.

How can you defend yourself against this?

First of all, act according to the principle – you can never be too careful. You should also remember that bank employees never ask for data such as login and password for electronic banking, or for any installation of additional software or to gain remote access to our smartphone. Do not give anyone your payment card numbers or even your BLIK code.

If necessary, you can always check the identity of the hotline employee in the GOmobile application. Do not continue the conversation until you receive confirmation that you are talking to a real bank employee.
