Sony szykuje dwie nowe konsole. Czy to dwie wersje PlayStation 6?

Sony is preparing two new consoles. Are these two versions of PlayStation 6?

The PlayStation 6 console may follow in the footsteps of the Xbox and hit the market in two versions: a weaker and cheaper one and a more expensive but more efficient one.

There should be no doubt that Sony and Microsoft are already working on next-generation consoles. We recently learned that the Japanese have re-signed a contract with AMD to supply key components for the PlayStation 6. Now we learn that the Reds are creating two versions of the SoC for Sony.

Two versions of PlayStation 6?

The information was provided by Kepler, who is a well-known informant who specializes in AMD-related topics. On the NeoGAF forum he revealed that Reds are building two SoCs for Sony. One of them is supposed to be more expensive but efficient, and the other weaker but cheaper. Does this mean that PlayStation 6 will follow in the footsteps of Xbox Series X/S?

We don’t know the answer to this question. Kepler doesn’t know either. He admitted that it’s a possibility, but nothing is certain. Sony may well be working on two consoles at the same time – the stationary PlayStation 6 and a portable model that would complement the offering. Perhaps Sony wants to create a handheld that would allow games to be run natively on it, and not — as in the PlayStation Portal — only streamed from the cloud.

The above information should be taken with a grain of salt. The PlayStation 6 will probably not hit the market for another 3-4 years, so a lot can change in that time. That doesn’t change the fact that the rumors seem extremely interesting.
