Mała, chłodna i tania, czyli nowa karta graficzna ASUSa

Small, cool and cheap – the new ASUS graphics card

There are more and more small graphics cards on the market that do not require additional power supply. This time we will look at the proposal of the Taiwanese company ASUS.

In the beggining of February NVIDIA quietly added a new graphics card to its offer. We are talking about the cheaper model of the previous generation, i.e GeForce RTX 3050 6GB. The decision was made to use a weaker GPU and less VRAM, but the result is lower power consumption, lower temperatures and a more affordable price.

The ASUS graphics card is aimed at small PCs

Core NVIDIA GA107, compared to the original GA106, offers 2048 instead of 2560 streaming processors. This is complemented by 6 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 96-bit data bus and TDP 70 W.

The Taiwanese giant decided to create low profile model ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 LP BRK 6 GB. It has dimensions of 182 x 69 x 40 millimeters and uses a two-slot cooling system, which is equipped with two small fans and a simple aluminum radiator. The card does not require additional power supply.

There are two variants to choose from – basic with default clock speed of 1470 MHz and 1500 MHz in OC mode and factory overclocked version with a clock of 1507 and 1537 MHz respectively. In both cases we get the same set of video connectors – one DVI-D, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a.

ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 LP BRK 6 GB graphics cards will go on sale in the coming weeks. The manufacturer did not reveal the suggested prices, but looking at the specification and the competition’s offer, it should be assumed approximately PLN 899. The set includes two metal pegs – classic and low-profile.
