Small but mighty. Thermaltake has new SFX power supplies
A power supply perfect for people planning to build a small PC is coming. Thermaltake releases SFX units announced in early January.
During the fair CES 2024which took place in January in Las Vegas (USA), the company’s stand was also present Thermaltake. The Taiwanese manufacturer then boasted, among other things, of its new computer power supplies. And it so happens that some of them are now on sale around the world.
Thermaltake provides up to 7 years of warranty
Thermaltake Toughpower SFX Platinum are units in format SFX, aimed at smaller computer sets. We are talking about models with power 750, 850 and 1000 W. All of them meet the requirements of the standard ATX 3.1, SFX 4.1 and PCIe 5.1so they are compatible with the latest components on the market.
We are dealing here with a platform based on a single +12 V line, Japanese capacitors, LLC topology and DC-DC converters. All this translates into low voltage ripple (< 30 mV), high voltage regulation (< ±2%) and very high efficiency up to 92% confirmed by a certificate 80 PLUS Platinum.
Of course, there are a number of safeguards here, such as OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP and OTP. The whole thing is cooled by a quiet 90-mm fan with a semi-passive mode. The icing on the cake are the standard cables 12V-2×6 for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 and newer graphics cards.
The Thermaltake Toughpower SFX Platinum series power supplies will go on sale in Polish stores in April. Suggested prices are set at 180 euros (approximately PLN 769) for the 750 W model, 190 euros (approximately PLN 815) for 850 W and 220 euro versions (approximately PLN 945) for the 1000 W variant. The manufacturer grants 7 years warranty.
