SkyShowtime boasts about new products. Here are the movies and series for March
SkyShowtime reveals its cards and now announces the repertoire for next month. Platform subscribers will have something to watch.
Already in March on SkyShowtime one of the biggest cinema hits of last year – nominated for an Oscar – will be available Oppenheimer directed by Christopher Nolan with Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr. and Matt Damon. The service will also debut the second season of the SkyShowtime Original series The Envoys (Los Enviados), as well as the historical thriller Mary&George starring Julianne Moore about one of the most sophisticated intrigues in the history of the English court. The latest episodes of HALO, Ted, The Lovers and Women in the Wall will also be available

Sexy Beast
Season: 1

James McArdle (Easttown Mare, Angels in America) plays Gal Dove, and Emun Elliott (The Platform, The Gold) plays Don Logan. They play two petty thieves who are friends and enjoy life in 1990s East London. Sarah Greene (Dead Sisters, Normal People) plays Deedee Harrison, an electrifying adult film star who tries to take control of her own destiny. For now, however, she’s getting into trouble over her affair with Gal Dove. Stephen Moyer (Flashpoint, True Blood) plays Teddy Bass – a treacherous gangster climbing the ranks of the criminal career who lures Gal and Don into his criminal network. Tamsin Greig (Episodes, Friday Dinners) plays Don’s pathologically controlling and fearsome older sister, Cecilia.

Mary&George

Mary & George is a series inspired by the unlikely but true story of Mary Villiers (Julianne Moore), who ensured that her handsome and charismatic son George (Nicholas Galitzine) seduced King James I and became his powerful lover. Thanks to their shocking intrigues, the Villiers from a poor background quickly became the richest, most successful and influential figures in the history of the English court. The kingdom was then threatened by a Spanish invasion and there was chaos in the streets, so the stakes were very high. Mary & George is a bold historical drama about a mother and son who daringly conspired, seduced and killed to enter the bed of King James I and conquer the English court.

The Enoys (Los Enviados)

In season 2, priests Pedro Salinas (Méndez) and Simón Antequera (Silvestre) try to solve a mysterious murder in a monastery in Spanish Galicia. The tension between faith and lies begins to escalate when three blind nuns witness a supposed miracle. During the investigation, which the priests delve deeper and deeper into, their host, Joaquin, dies in unexplained circumstances. The clergy, entangled in a double investigation, soon have to face not only a mystical mystery, but above all, the mundane truth about the murders. This season, the fight between falsehood and faith intensifies, taking place in an exciting accompaniment of crimes, secrets and blood-curdling plot twists.

The series is set in the 1990s, when Ted’s greatest moment of fame has just passed. Now Ted is forced to go to high school with John, where they experience the ups and downs of teenage life together in the fumes of drinking alcohol.

Oppenheimer
Cinema icon, director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar, Tenet, Inception), made his first biographical drama about the brilliant physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer – his role in creating the atomic bomb and paradoxically taking the risk of destroying the world in order to save it. The role of the legendary scientist was played by Cillian Murphy, who was accompanied on screen by an all-star cast in this spectacular story, including: Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Josh Hartnett, Florence Pugh, Josh Peck and Oscar winner Rami Malek.
