Should Poles prepare their wallets now? These fees will be higher soon

2025 is fast approaching, and in the meantime it is not entirely clear whether to be happy about this fact. The media are already announcing increases in various areas of Poles’ lives. We will experience not only an increase in excise duty on cigarettes and alcohol, but also higher ZUS contributions. It turns out that this is not the only thing waiting for us. We can expect an increase in local taxes, including those on dog ownership and real estate taxes.

Excise tax on e-cigarettes

E-cigarette users will experience high increases. The excise tax on liquids will increase by as much as 75 percent in 2025. The costs will increase to PLN 23.64 per liquid.

The increases will also affect people who run a business. ZUS contributions will go upwhich results from the planned increase in the minimum wage to PLN 4,666 gross. Fees for the Small ZUS and social security contributions will also increase. The draft budget for 2025 calls for an increase in ZUS contributions for other entrepreneurs by 10.08 percent.

We can also expect an increase in local taxes, such as property tax and dog tax. However, their amounts are decided by local governments.
