CssTricks launches a new fortnightly photo contest. For this first contest, share your photos on the theme of the sun.

Photography is not just about technique. On CssTricks, we are used to talking about the definition of photo sensors, the different modules on smartphones or the aperture of mirrorless camera lenses. But the photo is above all the framing, the management of the light and the creativity of the photographer to express his vision.

In order to highlight all these aspects, we are launching a new bi-monthly photo contest format. The goal is to highlight the creativity and artistic fiber of our community. However, there are no prizes to be won (for the moment).

Every other Wednesday, we will allow you to share your photos with us on an imposed theme, for a week. From the following Wednesday, and until Tuesday, CssTricks readers will have one week to vote for one of the four photos pre-selected by the editorial staff.

For this first photo contest, here is a topical theme: ” the sun “. Feel free to get creative and play around with this theme!

How to participate in the CssTricks photo contest?

So you have one week, until Wednesday, June 13 at 9 a.m. to submit your photo by sending it to contestphoto@frandroid.com with the theme ” the sun “ in object. Please accompany your photo with a short text describing the material used, the context of the photo, what it evokes to you, how it fits within the framework of the theme and the links of your social networks if you wish. that they are highlighted on CssTricks in case of selection of your shot.

Four photos will be pre-selected by the editorial staff before being submitted to readers’ votes from Wednesday June 13 until Tuesday June 20.

Photos can be captured with a smartphone, a camera, an action cam or even a drone. They can be developed or retouched, but AI-generated images are not allowed and you will need to provide us with the original file. By participating in the photo contest, you accept that the photograph be published on CssTricks.com, as well as on the messages of social networks relaying the contest.
