Samsung is preparing a beast. This processor will transform the Galaxy flagship
The Ulysses project, the second approach to 2 nm
Exynos 2600which is to be included in this year’s phones, does not promise to be a revolution. We will probably only see it in units sold in South Korea. However, Samsung wants to hit much harder a year later.
The next generation called Exynos 2700 is being created under a promising code name “Ulysses”. The system is to be made using a newer technological process SF2P (2nm). Leaks say about efficiency increase by 12% and up to 25% less energy consumption.
New construction and giant clocks
Samsung focuses on bold design solutions. The most powerful cores of the new SoC are to achieve clocked at 4.2 GHz. This is a huge jump compared to the planned 3.8 GHz in its predecessor.
Engineers are also working on better heat dissipation. They will use a special copper block in a FOWLP-SbS housing. It sounds complicated, but the goal is simple. The DRAM memory will be located right next to the processor, and a common heatsink will cover both elements. Thanks to this the phone heats up much less under load.
Snapdragon slayer in benchmarks
If you believe the rumors, Exynos 2700 could dominate the rankings. It is expected to gain support for super-fast memories LPDDR6 and standard UFS 5.0. This may translate into increase in overall efficiency by almost 40%.
In the popular Geekbench test, the new system is said to perform about 4800 points for one core. The multi-core result may be good up to 15,000 points. These are results that leave even the upcoming one behind Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
However, you need to use common sense. Until the series premiere Galaxy S27 There’s still plenty of time left. Additionally, the source of these revelations (Kaulenda on website X) is not yet reputable, so we have to wait for final confirmation. Samsung really needs such a victory to regain the trust of the brand’s fans.
