Samsung has reasons to be happy. Their equipment is the best
NVIDIA wants to offer the most efficient systems for gamers. For this purpose, it uses the latest technologies, and it seems that the Koreans are leading in this case.

A family of graphics cards NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 will debut in January 2025 and will be the first to introduce the memory standard at home GDDR7. It will replace the existing solutions, i.e GDDR6 and GDDR6Xproviding significantly higher performance and improved energy efficiency.
NVIDIA is picky, and Samsung benefits from it
The entire company is already mass producing the holy trinity of the DRAM and NAND marketi.e. American Micron and South Korean SK hynix and Samsung. However, it seems that only one of the producers met the high demands of the Greens, namely the last mentioned chaebol.
There were reports in the Korean press that – at least initially – NVIDIA Blackwell consumer graphics cards for desktop computers will use only Samsung chips. In the case of laptops, systems from all three companies will be used, but priority will still be given to the Korean giant.
Based on current rumors and leaks, it should be assumed that The GeForce RTX 5000 series will offer memory from 28 to 32 Gbps. The latter of which may appear later in SUPER variants and/or be reserved only for the most efficient and expensive models. However, technology allows up to 40 Gbps.
What about the other manufacturers, Intel and AMD? Blue wants to attack the low and medium price-performance segment, and thus Cheaper GDDR6 memory was used. The choice of red remains a mystery. We will find out more during the January fair CES 2025 in Las Vegas (USA).
