A woman crossing the border crossing attracted attention with her strange-looking breasts. It turned out that she was hiding hundreds of games in her bra.
Almost every country in the world has introduced it customs duty, i.e. a fee for transporting goods across the border. After all, there is a big difference between private equipment belonging to a given person and wholesale importing of dozens or hundreds of items for further trade, bypassing the necessary taxes.
The smuggled games had a value of approximately PLN 39,000
This time an attempt was made to smuggle games for Nintendo Switchand the whole situation took place in China. Both the scale of the procedure and the an unusual place to hide the cartridges.
According to reports from “Hong Kong 01”, Chinese customs officials in Liantang were carrying out routine checks when they noticed a woman standing in line whose behavior deviated from the norm. She was visibly upset and acting unusually, a one of the customs officers noticed that her breasts had a strange shape.
Upon closer inspection, customs officials found it 350 Nintendo Switch game cartridges hidden in her brawhose value was estimated at approximately 70,000 renminbi (approximately PLN 39,000).
In accordance with Chinese customs regulations such action is considered smuggling and is therefore illegal. Assuming the cartridges are not deemed banned in China, the suspect could be subject to a fine of “not more than three times the amount of duties payable but avoided”.
Located in Shenzhen, the land border inspection post was established to reduce traffic at other border crossings in the country. It was opened to passenger traffic on February 6, 2023, and has been since then often chosen by people trying to smuggle electronics and games.
