The date of the US presidential elections has been announced for November 5, 2024, and Moscow may want to use the opportunity to weaken its rival.

What was the study about?

The content identified by ISD included English-language posts obviously intended for Americans, as well as Russian-language propaganda intended for the audience of our eastern neighbor. Much of this false or manipulative information this time targeted the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

It is probably not without significance that Donald Trump is a person more favorable to Russia than the current duo of hosts of the White House. They, unlike their competitor, strongly support Ukraine during the ongoing war in that country, which is not to Moscow’s advantage.
