Easy CMOS battery replacement
The biggest discovery for iFixit engineers is the design change that allows users replace the CMOS battery in a very simple way. If the CMOS battery runs out, your console may have trouble connecting to the internet and website validation may be unavailable.
Until now, the CMOS battery (responsible for information about the current time and for maintaining current hardware settings) was located under the motherboard. Access to it was very difficult and in the standard and Slim variants it was necessary to disassemble the entire device.
In PS5 Pro, the manufacturer placed the battery just under the main cover of the casewhich can be downloaded without tools. Additionally, the battery has a small cover, which can be removed by unscrewing one screw. The option of adding an SSD drive remains unchanged, it still does not require disassembling the entire console.

Further analysis of the design of the new hardware did not bring any disturbing surprises to the engineers and confirmed the simplicity of repairs as in previous PS5s, or even greater thanks to the new place for the CMOS battery.
