The voice of Polish Google Maps has been a well-known radio journalist and voice-over artist for 15 years, Jarosław Juszkiewicz. On Tuesday evening, however, he stayed replaced by artificial intelligence. This is not the first such case, Americans reached for AI in Poland three and a half years ago. But then user dissatisfaction and a wave of negative reviews application led to the change being rolled back.
Jarosław Juszkiewicz found out about his replacement by artificial intelligence by accident. All thanks to a journalist friend. He says he feels a bit sorry, but realizes that it was inevitable. He emphasizes how great an adventure this period was and how much recognition it gave him. He was reportedly accosted by strangers on the street many times.
Is there a chance that the boycott by Poles will make Jarosław Juszkiewicz return for a second time? I don’t think so. As the person himself noted, AI is currently much more popular and better, and people have gotten used to it. Either way, the owner of an iconic voice has no time for boredom – in addition to working at Radio 357, he also conducts voice training and runs a voiceover recording company.
