Poles can get up to PLN 21,000 in subsidies. We explain
There are days when we only dream of having an air conditioner. It turns out that it is possible to obtain a subsidy from the state for this type of device. You just have to meet a few conditions.
This summer has already given us a real hard time when it comes to temperatures. More and more people, especially those working remotely, are considering installing air conditioning. This is no longer some whim and luxury, but our Polish reality. It turns out that the state wants to support us and has made various subsidies available, which, with appropriate justification, may also apply to the purchase and installation of air conditioning in an apartment. And these are not small amounts – some can reach up to 21,000 PLN. We explain what it is all about.
The state is launching various subsidy programs that can also be used by owners of air conditioners. There are ways to reduce the cost of purchasing this type of device and subsidizing its installation. It is important to meet the basic condition – our device, in addition to the cooling function, must also have a heating function.
The “My Electricity” program comes to the rescue
It has been in operation since 2023 and supports co-financing the purchase of heat pumps and air conditioners with a heating function. Under this program, you can get a subsidy of PLN 4,400 and cover up to 50 percent of eligible costs. To take advantage, you must have a photovoltaic installation and use the net-billing system. Detailed information about the program and submitting applications can be found on the government website.
Clean Air Programme
Here, the amount of funding is closely linked to the applicant’s income. Therefore, everyone can receive a different amount, after meeting, of course, a number of conditions. You can definitely count on funding for eligible costs.
“My Warmth” Program
Applies to newly built single-family houses with a higher energy standard. The grant amount for this program ranges from 7,000 to 21,000. The program has also been subject to various requirements, but this is the case in all cases.
It is important to be aware that these types of subsidies exist and there are quite a lot of them. It is also possible to deduct the air conditioner from the thermal modernisation allowance, provided that the device is also used for heating rooms. and meets the requirements specified in the regulation of the Minister of Investment and Development from 2018. You should also make sure that the selected model is on the list of qualified devices of the Ministry of Energy. The condition for receiving the subsidy is also to provide proof that the expense incurred (purchase and installation of the air conditioner) has made the building more energy-efficient.
