The PlayStation 5 Pro console hit store shelves today – an improved version of the PS5 model from four years ago. The Polish price of the new variant was set at PLN 3,499.

The PlayStation 5 Pro console has been enriched with: more powerful graphics system, larger SSD and DDR5 memoryas well as ray-tracing and upscaling supported by artificial intelligence.

Sony argues that it is able to provide gamers with the new features of PS5 Pro on 4K TVs higher level of gameplay than ever before with improved graphics and rich realistic lighting, as well as a higher and more consistent frame rate.

What exactly does PlayStation 5 Pro bring?

The most important improvements of PlayStation 5 Pro compared to the previous model

  • Improved GPU: The PS5 Pro is equipped with the GPU it has by 67% more computing units than the current PS5 console and faster memory 28%. This allows for even o 45% faster image rendering, making gameplay smoother.
  • Advanced ray tracing: thanks to improved ray tracing technology that is sometimes calculated even from three times faster than in the case of the PS5 console, light reflections and refraction are to be more dynamic and realistic.
  • Upscaling based on artificial intelligence: The new image scaling technology PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) uses artificial intelligence. The use of advanced machine learning will allow PS5 Pro to create extremely sharp images filled with a huge amount of detail.
