PKO BP regularly publishes important announcements that all bank customers should read. Most often, they concern new services or technical work, due to which some functions will not be temporarily available. This time the bank warns against fraudsters.

Urgent announcement from PKO BP

This time, PKO BP warns against fraudsters who targeted the bank’s customers. Suspicious messages have started arriving in users’ e-mail boxes, in which cybercriminals are trying to convince victims that their access to mobile banking has been suspended.

Beware of fake e-mails impersonating a bank with the subject: “Your access to PKO online banking has been suspended”. Messages have different e-mail addresses in the sender field, e.g.: “PKO Bank Polski SA “. The emails contain links in the tinyurl(DOT)com domain leading to websites from which malware is downloaded to the device.@mail(dot)com>

At the same time, the bank reminds about several important issues that all users should remember. First of all, official e-mails and text messages from PKO BP never contain links. PKO BP also warns to always carefully check the website URL address. Unfortunately, we can often come across false advertisements in search results and social media.
