PKO BP has an urgent matter for its customers. Pass it on to others too
PKO BP has issued an urgent announcement that every bank customer should read. Your money is at stake.
Although banks and all kinds of financial institutions can do a lot to protect our money, the weakest link in the entire chain is always ourselves. That’s why cybercriminals try to deceive us in every possible way. PKO BP warns against one of them.
PKO BP warns
PKO Bank Polski warns against a new phishing campaign. Customers have started receiving e-mails in which cybercriminals impersonate a bank. They can be recognized, among other things, by the subject “PKO has provided payment confirmation – Transaction ID: P24CON*****”. The sender field contains various addresses pretending to be PKO BP.
The message contains a link to a page in the cloud.demo.space domain. It contains malware that is downloaded to the device. PKO BP warns that clicking the link may result in loss of money.
The bank reminds you of several important security issues:
Remember:
- our emails and text messages do not contain links,
- Before logging in to the iPKO website, always check the website address carefully,
- links to fake sites are also included in search engine ads and look like regular search results.
– warns PKO BP.
The bank also reminds that in case of doubts, it is worth contacting the hotline at 800 302 302.
