Bank Pekao organized a conference during which, among other things, it announced a new product that has been available from several competitors for some time now. It is intended to improve the security of accounts and money. It will be available later this month, informs Cashless.pl.
Bank Pekao with an important new feature
Bank Pekao SA is to make the use of U2F dongles available to customers this month. These are small devices in the shape of a small pendrive that protect your account against many threats. A fraudster, even knowing our login details, will not be able to get to the money if he does not have a U2F key assigned to the account. This is one of the best methods to secure your account.
U2F keys are to be available to Pekao customers this month. This function will benefit both individual customers and sole proprietors. At first, keys will only be used to authenticate logins to the Pekao24 website. For now, it is not possible to approve individual transactions using them.
ING Bank Śląski was the first to introduce U2F key support in Poland. Recently, PKO Bank Polski also decided to take a similar step.
