The latest OLX study shows that on average every Pole keeps as many as 2 unused smartphones at home. Their total value is on average up to PLN 550, so it is a real profit just waiting to be reached.

Poles’ declarations show that only 38 percent actually sells unused phones. Almost every fifth person (approx. 20%) simply keeps them at home. In turn, 11 percent respondents give devices to family members. What does this mean? Many of us do not know how to price a used smartphone sensibly. We are observing a systematic increase in interest in used and refurbished smartphones. This is a trend that has been going on for a long time and is not solely due to current geopolitical tensions. Customers are increasingly looking for a combination of reasonable price, good specifications and a smaller environmental footprint.
