Jaja w rządowej organizacji. Tego nawet Bareja by nie wymyślił

Officials have broken the Internet. It only works a few hours a week

Even though we live in the 21st century, Poland still experiences downright bizarre situations. This is the case with filing an application to the National Court Register.

It’s 2024. Artificial intelligence can pass many advanced exams. It creates graphics that are difficult to distinguish from a photo. Washing machines, refrigerators, and even coffee machines communicate with a smartphone via the Internet. In general, the world of technology is making incredible progress.

Meanwhile, it is best to submit an application to the National Court Register only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, preferably between 10:00 and 12:00. No, this is not a joke.

Bareisms are everlasting

The case was written about by Twitter/X user @pawelqs. While submitting an application to the National Court Register (KRS), he encountered an error. He wrote to support about this and received a response that is as bizarre as it gets.

It turns out that there is a limit to the size of files that can be attached with the application. The standard limit is only 5 MB for documents that are not digitally signed. If the file is electronically signed, the limit increases to 10 MB. That is why the support department suggests reducing the resolution, as well as a black and white scan to reduce the size. However, that is not the funniest part. The biggest oddity is yet to come.

It is also possible to add larger files (up to 20 MB), but only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. – then the system throughput is increased.

– wrote the KRS support department.

Yes, you read that right. Twice a week, for 2 hours (4 hours in total), the KRS system capacity is increased and then larger files can be merged. I don’t even know how to comment on this… I’m sure of one thing – even Bareja wouldn’t have come up with this. The National Council of the Judiciary is subordinate to the Ministry of Justice.
