New graphics cards coming this year. There is evidence
We have some good news for those building a new PC. It looks like we’ll see the next generation of graphics cards later this year.
Computer enthusiasts have been waiting for new generations of graphics cards for a long time. The current families, i.e. AMD Radeon RX 7000 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000debuted on the market at the end of 2022. And two years is a long time in the world of new technologies. Especially with popularization of 4K and ray tracing.
EK Water Blocks has spoken out, but without giving any specifics
Of course, both the Reds and the Greens are already working on further arrangements. However, many rumors suggested that AMD Radeon RX 8000 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 may not appear until 2025. With a presentation at CES 2025 and a debut at a later date. However, one manufacturer claims otherwise.
EK Water Blocks is a well-known Slovenian manufacturer of components for proprietary liquid cooling systems, fans and All in One sets. The company has been in serious trouble for many months, it has financial problems and there have been rumors about some employees leaving for the competition. Why is this important? Because in the official response to the Overclock3D editorial office very important information was revealed.
The Slovenians assure that the company is doing well and that outstanding invoices and salaries are being paid. More importantly, EKWB is preparing for the premiere of new water blocks for “new series of graphics cards that will debut this year”. Unfortunately, it was not revealed whether we are talking about AMD or NVIDIA.
The second option is more likely, though. NVIDIA released the GeForce RTX 3000 generation on September 17, and the GeForce RTX 4000 was announced on September 20. If the Greens are actually preparing to debut the family NVIDIA Blackwell it should happen in the coming weeks.
