new films and series for September 2023

Back to school is busy on the side of Prime Video with a new batch of films and series for the month of September.

Only two days left before the month of September and the SVoD platforms are busy announcing their catalogs as is the case with Netflix or Disney Plus. This time it’s all about Prime Video at Amazon which announces its new releases, whether in its regular catalog or via the Warner Pass.

Sentinel (September 8)

A new 100% French production arrives in the Prime Video catalog: Sentinel. This new comedy tells the story of François Sentinelle, played by jonathan cohen, a man who leads a double life: policeman by day and charming singer in his spare time. After experiencing success thanks to his hit The Kiki, François Sentinelle tries in vain to reconnect with glory. And as a series of violent crimes falls on Reunion Island, he must choose between pursuing his career in music or bringing the law to bear.

A Talent in Solid Gold (September 29)

Released last year, A Solid Gold Talent (Tea Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent in VO) is an American film directed by Tom Gormican with a particularly duo in the lead. bankable : Nicolas Cage and Pedro PascaL. The film tells the story of Nicky (Nicolas Cage), who becomes a has-been, who then agrees to come to the birthday of Javi (Pedro Pascal), a Mexican billionaire, to repay his numerous debts. Javi, a big fan of the actor, asks him to replay his greatest roles.

Notice to fans of The wheel of time! The new season is coming! This new chapter is based on certain elements of Robert Jordan’s third novel, The Dragon Reborn (The Dragon Reincarnated, in the French version). If little information has leaked about the scenario and the progress of the plot, we will inevitably find the main antagonist of the series from the end of season 1. If you know… you know.

The Handmaid’s Tale, season 5 (September 15)

Already finished on the OCS side, the fifth season and its 10 episodes of The Scarlet Handmaidare coming to Prime Video. In this season and before a final conclusion soon, June must face the consequences of the murder of Commander Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and her reason for being.
