Netflix with the film adaptation of the literary masterpiece. Premiere in December
Netflix has published another announcement online of the series based on the literary masterpiece of Gabriel Garcia Márquez. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is scheduled to hit the platform later this year.

“One Hundred Years of Solitude” in 16 episodes?
This is probably the most ambitious undertaking of the streaming platform. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” holds a special place in the pantheon of masterpieces of Ibero-American literature. The book has been translated into almost 40 languages and sold approximately 50 million copies. It has been delighting readers around the world for half a century.
In 2019, Netflix acquired the rights to adapt Márquez’s book. The writer’s sons: Rodrigo Garcia and Gonzalo Garcia are involved in the project. This adds authenticity and depth to the production. Another announcement of the production has been published online, in which the creators themselves talk about the series.
“One Hundred Years of Solitude” tells the story of several generations of the Buendia family. The whole story begins with the journey of Jose Arcadio Buendia and Ursula Iguaran in search of a home. The couple settles on the rocky bank of the river, where they establish a settlement. In the fictional town of Macondo, subsequent generations of the Buendia family are looking for love and oblivion, trying to escape from the past and fate.
The series will consist of 16 episodesand the whole thing was divided into two parts. We will see the first part on December 11, 2024.
