Netflix went crazy with the trailer for this series. Does he want to shock us?
“Lalka” completely new
It has to be bold and everything indicates that this time it will be so. This adaptation is supposed to be “fire”. And when the creators used Radiohead’s hit “Creep” as the background music for the trailer, one thing is certain – you can’t ignore such a read. It promises to be an energetic and contemporary adaptation of Bolesław Prus’s prose, and we keep our fingers crossed that everything will go equally well.
The premiere of “The Doll” is announced for the second half of 2026so it’s high time for Netflix to ramp up anticipation for the six-episode series. As the media write, there is something to wait for – “Lalka” in the latest edition is to be very personal, but also alive. Funny and scary at the same time. “A surprising series. Wild.” At least that’s what its director Paweł Maślona says, who decided to show us his view of 19th century Warsaw, a city on the eve of great class changes.

Favorite recent actors will return to the screens: Tomasz Schuchardt and Sandra Drzymalska. The cast is being revealed gradually, but at the moment we already know that Jacek Braciak, Magdalena Cielecka, Julia Wyszyńska and Dariusz Chojnacki will also appear.
