Recently, Neonet’s financial report appeared in the National Court Register. The store chain is in serious trouble. The net loss amounted to PLN 376 million. As if that wasn’t enough, equity became negative. This means that the company’s liabilities are higher than its accumulated assets. However, salvation has appeared in the form of the competitive x-kom network, which wants to take over Neonet. Now it’s getting closer.
The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection allows the takeover of Neonet
A month ago, x-kom and Neonet signed an investment agreement, which assumes the takeover of the indebted company. However, the willingness to carry out such a transaction is not everything. Consent must be issued by relevant authorities, including the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, i.e. UOKiK. This has just happened, so Neonet may soon fall into the hands of x-comers.
The consent of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection is one of the key conditions of the investment agreement. The consent to the concentration of these two entities allows them to immediately start close cooperation on integration processes and defining a long-term strategy. This is another step towards creating a very strong Polish company that will be one of the leaders on the competitive market of sales of consumer electronics, household appliances and electronics.

Now nothing should stand in the way of both companies. However, completing all the formalities will take some time, so you will have to wait until the takeover is finalized.
