NASA is looking for astronauts. There are only four conditions
These are the last days to become a NASA astronaut. Casting is currently underway, and the offer includes the possibility of flying to the Moon and maybe even Mars. However, there are a few “buts”.
This coming Tuesday, April 16, NASA will end the recruitment of candidates for new astronauts. People who may be selected will be selected from this group they will land on the Moon as part of the Artemis program, and in the future they will also fly to Mars – reports the website Naukawpolsce.pl
The demands are high
This is not the first, but also not the last such space casting, but such an opportunity does not arise very often. Who can take part? The first condition is the need to have American citizenship, so many of us are out of the question. But there are more requirements.
You must also have a master's degree in a mathematical science such as engineering, biological sciences, physical sciences, computer sciences or mathematics. An alternative may be to complete medical studies. But that's still not all! Another requirement is three years of professional experience after completing a master's degree or, in the case of pilots, one thousand hours of work as a pilot-in-command, including at least 850 hours on jet aircraft.
It would be good if there was a future astronaut had the right features, such as teamwork and communication skills (but there are no guarantees about a young, dynamic team and fruity Thursdays). Each candidate must also be ready for two-year training. Only after completing it will candidates join the astronaut corps and have a chance to participate in space missions. What in return other than unique work memories? The recruitment announcement includes the amount $152,258 per yearor USD 12,688 per month, which is approximately PLN 50,000 per month.
