Expected in the coming months, the new Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 suggests some technical characteristics this week. We learn in particular that the device would be equipped with an atypical photo part.

Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new folding smartphone: its Mix Fold 3, replacing the current Mix Fold 2. We learn this week from GizmoChina that the device, rumored since February and expected in the coming months, would be equipped with a new photo part and some other intriguing novelties.

This information comes to us in the first place from the leaker Digital Chat Station, which regularly sees just about Chinese phones. The person recently shared information about a new anonymous folding smartphone. The details given by the leaker, however, suggest that this device would be the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, the specifications of which have been revealed here and there by different sources, notes GizmoChina. With that clarification, here’s what we should expect.

A flagship… from any point of view?

We first learn that the smartphone would be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device would also rely on an atypical photo part comprising four rear sensors… including two optical zooms. According to Digital Chat Station, the first would offer x3.2 magnification and would be mainly dedicated to portraits, while the second showed at x5 zoom thanks to a periscope design. The latter would be designed for long-distance shots.

The Mix Fold 3 would also adopt a design “ thin and light » and would be equipped with a front camera in « water drop “. There would also be compatibility with 67 W wired charging, as well as with induction charging, this time in 50 W.

According to other sources, including MIUI Code, cited byGizmoChina,the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 would internally respond to the code names “babylon” Or “L18» and would have been struck with the reference «2308CPXD0C“. Xiaomi is preparing a launch somewhere in August, without further details at this stage. We also know from previous leaks that the machine would be equipped with an 8.02-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch rear panel. These two screens would have a Full HD + definition and could go up to a frequency of 120 Hz, we also read.

It now remains to be seen whether this Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will arrive in France… or whether it will remain a Chinese exclusive. Response expected in the coming weeks thanks to a formalization which should logically not be long.
