mObywatel with Google Pay and Apple Pay. See how to take advantage

mObywatel allows you, among other things, to check your personal information financial obligations to offices and paying them in the application. So far, in the ePłatności service, this could be done using payment card or BLIK (with or without code). From now on, the possible options include two popular payment methods, i.e Google Pay and Apple Pay for even greater convenience and comfort of the user – said the Ministry of Digitization.

However, there is one catch. The availability of Google Pay and Apple Pay in ePayments depends primarily on whether a given commune has made them available already to its inhabitants. The list of municipalities that offer the ePayments service along with the payment methods available can be checked at https://www.gov.pl/web/eplatnosci/lista-urzedow-w-programie.

How does it work? It’s simple. Users of iOS phones provided by the commune Apple Pay, they will see this method in ePłatności in mObywatele next to options such as BLIK or payment cards. And similarly, users of Android phones they will see Google Pay in the list of available settlement methods.

The ePayments system, now with Google Pay and Apple Pay, allows you to settle payments, among others for real estate tax, municipal waste management, forest tax or agricultural tax. After paying the obligation, you can download payment confirmation in the form PDF file to your phone.

• Log in to the mObywatel application.
• Go to services, and then in the Fees and taxes category, select ePayments.
• From the list of liabilities, select the one you want to pay.
• You will see payment details. Tap Proceed to payment. Depending on your payment type, you may also see an Accept and pay or Select installments button.
• Select Apple Pay or Google Pay from the list of payment methods. If the office does not accept it, an appropriate message will appear on the screen.
  If the office accepts this payment method, you will see information about the amount to be paid. If you want to change your payment method, tap Change payment method.
• To pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, confirm your payment.
• That’s all. The payment was made using a new method in mObywatel. If you want to download payment confirmation, press Download confirmation.

According to the Ministry of Digitization, last year the ePayments service was piloted 78 communes. At the end of 2025 this solution 139 offices already offered it. This means that over 20 percent of Polish residents can use it.

The ePayments pilot ended on December 31, 2025. The service has been implemented since the beginning of 2026 to the full extent and under new conditionswhich define the framework for cooperation between units and the Ministry of Digitization. One of the important changes is that ePayments are now available only in the mObywatel application.
