Millions of Poles created profiles on it. Now he disappears, after 20 years
Could this be the end of an era? The legendary GoldenLine website, which for years has been used by Poles to look for work and share their professional experience, is disappearing from the Internet for good.
Forerunner of LinkedIn
GoldenLine was recruitment, networking and professional profile in one. You could say he was the forerunner of LinkedIn. It was a place that connected employees and employers, as well as one large concentration of job offers. It contained many attractive advertisements, which satisfied the needs of Poles. Unfortunately, market conditions have changed a lot since it was created, which is probably why it has declined significantly in recent times.
These are his last steps, many options are no longer available. At the end of November, the website will cease to exist.
Despite our efforts, dynamically changing market conditions led to the decision to liquidate.
– we read in the GoldenLine announcement.
The origins of GoldenLine date back to 2005. It was then founded by a student of the Warsaw University of Technology, Mariusz Gralewski. In the years 2012-2020, the website was visited by approximately 2 million users. 10 years ago, the website was taken over by Agora, which has now decided to close it.
