Microsoft showcases its new Series S and an avalanche of new titles
During the recent Xbox Showcase, Microsoft unveiled a new version of the Xbox Series S, the highly anticipated RPG Starfield, and a variety of new titles. Keanu Reeves teased DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, and Capcom and Massive Entertainment announced Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess and an open-world Star Wars game for 2024, respectively.
The last Xbox Showcase was a big moment for gamers everywhere. Microsoft has unleashed the heavy artillery by unveiling many new features including a revised and improved version of the Xbox Series S, a highly anticipated RPG and a series of new titles. Xbox Series S: a new version on the horizon
Xbox Series S, Microsoft’s most affordable console, will get a major upgrade with a brand new version.

While the hardware remains identical, this new iteration will offer an internal storage capacity of 1 TB.

The first gameplay images have been unveiled, fueling even more excitement around this title.
After weeks of leaks, Microsoft has also formalized its Xbox controller and headphones dedicated to Starfield. The latest in a long line of special-edition controllers, the Starfield Controller, priced at $79.99, sports a design inspired by Starfield elements, with gray and gold accents and textured grips.
The Starfield Wireless Headset, priced at $124.99, follows a similar design and is based on Microsoft’s popular Xbox Wireless Headset.

Bethesda also offers a Starfield Watch, available in the game’s Collector’s Edition, which displays environmental information about in-game planets and can be connected to your phone to show notifications.
An impressive list of new titles
Microsoft didn’t stop there. Several new titles have been announced, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, as well as Clockwork Revolution, a title heavily inspired by the Bioshock saga.
The appeal of Japanese role-playing games (J-RPGs) continues with Metaphor: ReFantazio, a new “animated” J-RPG slated for release in 2024. And fans of city management will be delighted to hear that a trailer for Cities: Skylines II has been unveiled, with an expected release date of October 24, 2023 on PC and Xbox Series.

Keanu Reeves himself presented the Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, introducing V’s new mission. It will be released on September 16, 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.

And that’s not all. Still Wakes the Deep, an enigmatic title, will be released in 2024, while Persona 5 Tactica will launch on November 17, 2023. Content for Overwatch 2 has also been announced, as well as Forza Motorsport, which will be released on October 10, 2023.

Finally, Capcom took advantage of the showcase to present its latest fantastic creation: Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess. Massive Entertainment, a division of Ubisoft, has announced an open-world Star Wars game slated for 2024 on Xbox Series X/S. And of course, there was news from Fable and several other games.
