MediaTek challenges Qualcomm. We will all benefit from this

MediaTek can attack the mid and low segment

However, it seems that MediaTek I don't want to be left behind. As reported by the Reuters news agency, three independent sources confirmed that the Taiwanese are already working on their own SoCs, which will power laptops running the Windows 11 operating system.
So far, Qualcomm has been Microsoft's single partner for ARM devices running Windows, and it's all thanks to exclusive contracts signed in 2016. However, it expires this yearwhich creates new opportunities for competitors – including companies such as AMD, NVIDIA and Intel.
So far, there are no details about the SoC from MediaTek that would go to laptops. However, we know that this manufacturer is very well suited to the low and medium segment, which may be an interesting alternative to expensive laptops with Qualcomm Snpadraon X Elite/Plus.
The ambitions of the Taiwanese seem to be confirmed by the fact that the company's CEO – Rick Tsai – was caught meeting with CEO of NVIDIA – Jensen Huang; CEO of TSMC – Morris Chang and CEO of Quanta, Barry Lam. This would be the perfect combination of CPU + GPU + silicon production + assembly of ready-made laptops.
