mBank is taking a break. Better secure your cash

mBank announced another weekend technical break. During it, bank customers will be cut off from their money in their accounts, so it is better to secure urgent payments and the necessary cash supply in advance.

mBank wants to provide its clients with the highest possible level of services, which should not surprise anyone. To meet these goals, they are needed systematic modernization of banking systems. This will also happen next weekend, to be more precise on the night of April 20-21, 2024 (Saturday Sunday). For a few hours the bank will be shut down.

Customers will lose access to their money

The shutdown of mBank due to maintenance works means that its customers they will temporarily lose access to money, which they accumulated on accounts in this bank. Here's what won't work and when.

  • Credit cards. mBank informs that throughout the night (from Saturday to Sunday), customers will not pay by card in stationary stores or restaurants, nor will they use ATMs. Online card payments will not be possible from 2:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (Sunday). This also applies to clients from the SME and Corporate sectors.
  • Transaction website and mobile application. Also on Sunday, from 2:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., you will not be able to log in to your account online or in the mobile application. It is also not possible to submit any application during this time.
  • mLine. During the technical break, mLinia employees will not have access to customer data related to mBank. Therefore, no operation will be possible in this way.

How to protect yourself?

To protect yourself against the undesirable effects of a technical break at mBank, it is worth taking the following actions: remedial actions. First of all, you should order all important transfers or payments to be made in advance. Additionally, if you plan to do something on a specific night that will require making any payments, it is better to do so in advance stock up on enough cash.
