Lian Li presents wireless fans with an LCD screen

Contrary to appearances, this is not a premature joke on the occasion April Fool’s Day. The Taiwanese simply decided to once again offer something that the competition does not have.

Although the latest processors and graphics cards offer very high performance in games and programs, unfortunately they are also often characterized by high power consumption and high temperatures. That’s why a case with good air circulation and good computer fans are so important.

Nice and original, but expensive and mediocre

And it so happens that Lian Li has prepared a new proposal. We’re talking about a series UNI FAN SL Wirelesswhich, as the name suggests, is wireless. However, as usual, the devil is in the details.

The fans described are not completely wireless. There is still a PWM harness connected to the motherboard. However, the RGB LED cable has been eliminated and communication takes place via a 2.4 GHz signal. Additionally, the fans themselves can be connected in series thanks to a magnetic system.

Initial independent reviews are mixed – the original idea, appearance and quality of workmanship are praised, but a significant disadvantage is the price and average efficiency when mounted on a radiator. Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless ARGB was valued at 28 euros, i.e about PLN 120 per piece. Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless LCD is already priced at 42 euros, i.e as much as PLN 180 per piece. It’s a bit better in a three-pack.
