There are a few people in the world of new technologies that everyone should know. One of them is an American engineer Jim Keller. In the past he was associated with, among others, With Apple, AMD, Intel and Tesla. He is the co-author x86-64but has also worked on AMD K7, K8 and Zen architectures, Apple A4/A5 and many others.
Say goodbye to CUDA, RISC-V solutions are coming
Currently, Keller is the CEO of Tensorrentwhich aims to provide affordable accelerators for AI and HPC tasks. It so happens that closer cooperation with the Korean company has been officially announced LG. The result is to be SoC systems for a new kind of artificial intelligence.
Koreans want to promote the idea “Affection Intelligence” (Emotional Intelligence) in smart home devices. Unfortunately, no details were revealed, except based on RISC-V architecturein which Tenstorrent already has experience and use construction of chiplet-based systems.
Closer cooperation between both companies is Keller’s success openly criticizes NVIDIA.
