Ladybird. From February 1, new rules at checkouts
These changes will mainly be felt by people or companies making large purchases on invoices in Biedronka chain stores. To make this activity easier for customers, the discount store has presented the rules that will apply in stores from February 1, 2026. All changes are part of the nationwide process of digitalization of document circulation and mean the reorganization of invoices issued at the cash register.
What are the changes?
This mainly concerns the method of issuing VAT invoices, corrections and handling of receipts with the NIP number. The chain has developed procedures and encourages all business customers to read them to avoid unnecessary stress and potential problems when issuing invoices after February 1.
Invoices and receipts with Tax Identification Number at the Biedronka cash register – what will change?
Biedronka explains that VAT invoices issued directly at cash registers, including simplified ones, will not be sent to KSeF until the end of 2026. A change has also been introduced regarding receipts with a NIP number – if the value of such a receipt is greater than PLN 450, the customer will have to contact the store manager to issue a full VAT invoice.
Such an invoice will be sent to KSeF and the client will receive its visualization. The invoice visualization contains one QR code that leads directly to KSeF.
As for invoice corrections, from February 1, each such correction (except for personal invoices for consumers) will have to be issued to KSeF. Even if the original invoice was not issued in the system.
