KLEVV presents a very efficient and affordable SSD

Are you running out of space for games? Do you need a powerful SSD for work? Want to upgrade your console? KLEVV CRAS C925 will work in each of these cases.

You can already find quite a lot in stores SSD PCIe 5.0 x4, i.e. new generation solutions. However, they are not overly popular. Reason? High price and the need to have one of the newer processors AMD or Intel and more expensive motherboards AM5 or LGA 1700.

KLEVV CRAS C925 has a performance of up to 7400 MB/s

This is why many manufacturers continue to expand their offerings of older types of semiconductor media that are more likely to be chosen by consumers. Today we will take a look at the new company model KLEVV.

KLEVV CRAS C925 is SSD in format M.2 2280that use the interface PCI Express 4.0 x4 and protocol NVMe 1.4. The decision was made here to use a controller Maxiotek MAP1602 and unspecified bones 3D TLC NANDbut we are probably talking about memories YMTC. This is a DRAM-free design.

The whole is complemented by a radiator in the form of an aluminum sticker, and the declared efficiency depends on the capacity:

  • KLEVV CRAS C925 (500GB) – up to 7400 MB/s for reading and up to 6200 MB/s for sequential writing and up to 670,000 IOPS for reading and up to 980,000 IOPS for random writing;
  • KLEVV CRAS C925 (1TB) – up to 7400 MB/s for reading and up to 6300 MB/s for sequential writing and up to 670,000 IOPS for reading and up to 980,000 IOPS for random writing;
  • KLEVV CRAS C925 (2TB) – up to 7400 MB/s for reading and up to 6500 MB/s for sequential writing and up to 700,000 IOPS for reading and up to 1,000,000 IOPS for random writing;

We are talking about top speeds, which are basically the maximum for PCIe 4.0 x4. They will be sufficient for both work and entertainment. SSD will also work great in the Sony PlayStation 5 console.

The KLEVV CRAS C925 series is scheduled to go on sale in May. The manufacturer did not reveal the suggested prices, but describes the described media as: “medium segment with affordable prices”. We're talking about a 5-year warranty limited by the saved data ratio of 600, 1200 and 2400 TBW.
