JBL throws a firecracker. Carbon fiber, 50 mm drivers and 60 hours of operation

JBL has debuted a new wireless headset for gamers – the JBL Quantum 650 Wireless model. The new product will work in almost any configuration – it is compatible with Windows and Mac systems, Android and iOS devices, as well as with PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles. Additionally, the equipment is Zoom certified, which means it will also be useful in communication and office applications.

The sound is generated by 50-mm dynamic drivers using carbon fiber as a damping material. The set provides a frequency response of 20 Hz – 20 kHz and supports JBL Quantum Spatial Sound technology, configurable via the JBL QuantumENGINE tool. This application allows you to modify the sound profile, visualize noise sources, as well as noise reduction, including hardware elimination of keyboard sounds.

For voice communication, there is a detachable 6 mm unidirectional cardioid microphone with noise reduction function.

JBL Quantum 650 Wireless offers users the ability to simultaneously establish two wireless connections thanks to the use of a 2.4 GHz radio adapter and a Bluetooth version 5.3 module. Optionally, the set can be connected wired using a USB-C cable, which reduces delays to below 30 milliseconds.

The device is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 700 mAh, which provides up to 45 hours of operation in 2.4 GHz mode and up to 60 hours of music playback when connected to Bluetooth. Fully charging the battery takes less than 3 hours, and its modular design allows for possible replacement.

The headphones weigh 331.5 grams and are equipped with an adjustable mesh headband and fabric earmuffs. The design allows you to replace wearing parts yourself, including the cushions, cable, microphone and headband mesh, which are sold separately.

The suggested retail price of JBL Quantum 650 Wireless headphones is PLN 639.
