JBL introduces armored IP68 headphones with ANC. This is Endurance Peak 4

JBL has introduced the Endurance Peak 4 sports headphones. The specifications are impressive, first of all dust- and waterproof construction class IP68rarely available with headphones. Even sports models often offer a lower level of protection, e.g. IP57. The device is completely resistant not only to sweat and rain, but also to salt water and sand, which allows you to train in difficult field conditions or on the beach. The manufacturer also declares durability to high temperatures (up to 45°C) and falls.

JBL also took care of ergonomics, using proven technology TwistLock and oval overlays JBL OvalTubes, which are intended to guarantee stability in the ear canal. The whole is complemented by flexible, silicone ear hooks with a shape memory headband, which prevents the headphones from falling out during sudden movements.

They support the audio layer 10mm dynamic drivers with an impedance of 16 ohms and a frequency response of 20 Hz-20 kHz. The headphones support technology JBL Pure Bass and Spatial Sound. Users can further personalize the sound profile using the Personi-Fi 3.0 feature in the mobile app, which adjusts the sound based on a quick hearing test.

It is an important piece of equipment adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) using an array of four microphones to analyze and suppress ambient sounds. This function is complemented by the Smart Ambient awareness mode, which allows you to conduct conversations without removing the device from your ears.

Designed to handle voice calls set of three microphones in each earphone (six in total), supported by a beamforming algorithm. This solution is intended to isolate the user’s voice and reduce wind noise, which is important for the quality of conversations when running outdoors.

Wireless connection is provided by the module Bluetooth 5.4 standard. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not boast about the codec used, which raises concerns that we are receiving SBC only. The headphones, however, support technology Google Fast Pairwhich allows for instant pairing with Android devices, and the Multipoint function, which allows you to simultaneously connect to two audio sources and seamlessly switch between them.

Built-in batteries (58 mAh in the handset) allow you to: 12 hours of music playback without ANC or 8 hours with noise reduction turned on. The charging case (580 mAh) provides three additional full charging cycles, giving a total of up to 48 hours of operation in standard mode.
