It’s today. The first premiere of Apple TV this year
Hugh Laurie in “Tehran” on Apple TV
As we wrote some time ago, the new cast member is Hugh Laurie, known from the cult series “Dr. House”. In addition to the American star, the cast will also include those known from previous seasons: Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub, Shila Ommi.
Interestingly, “Tehran 3” has already premiered in Israel, in 2024. Although the series was ready, Apple decided to suspend the premiere due to the sensitive topic related to current events in Israel and Palestine. Although the conflict in the Gaza Strip continues to this day, the platform apparently decided that the production had waited long enough and planned to broadcast the entire season in early 2026.
The first episode was broadcast on January 9and subsequent ones will appear weekly, every Friday, until February 27. The first two seasons can also be watched on Apple TV.
A successful spy series
“Tehran” is one of Apple’s most popular foreign-language series, which has already been renewed for a fourth season, even though fans had to wait more than three years for new episodes after the second season.
Upcoming premieres on Apple TV
The third season of “Tehran” kicks off Apple’s slate of original content for 2026. The second season of the thriller “Hijack” will also debut next week, followed by “Drops of God 2” a week later, and the third installment of the acclaimed comedy series “Shrinking” will return at the end of the month.
