It’s time for the legend to return. We haven’t seen this equipment for a long time
MSI is preparing a treat for overclocking fans who do not want to spend a fortune on computer components. The Taiwanese are resurrecting the MPOWER series.
Computer enthusiasts certainly remember the series very well MPOWER From MSI. We’re talking about motherboards designed with overclocking in mind, but offered at more affordable prices. The last models debuted in 2017back in the chipset era Intel Z170/Z270 and sockets LGA 1151.
MSI Z790 MPOWER will support DDR5-8000+ RAM
However, it seems that the Taiwanese want to revive this well-known and popular series. A new model will be available for sale soon, i.e MSI Z790 MPOWER. It will provide great OC capabilities and support for fast RAM memories.
MSI Z790 MPOWER is a form factor motherboard Micro ATX, which will be in a black and silver style. Here we will get, among others: 15-phase, cooled power section and two banks for modules DDR5 RAM. What is surprising, however, is the lack of a POST screen or physical buttons on the laminate.
In addition, we are talking about two M.2 connectors with factory heatsinksfour SATA III, one reinforced PCIe 5.0 x16 and two regular PCIe 4.0 x4/x1. There will also be plenty 2.5 Gigabit network controller and wireless cards WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
The I/O panel will consist of four USB 2.0, three USB 3.2 Gen 1, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C, one DisplayPort and HDMI, RJ-45, antenna connectors and six audio ports.
MSI Z790 MPOWER will go on sale soon with a suggested price of $225, i.e. approximately PLN 905. It will probably be a bit more expensive in Poland. The manufacturer promises support for DDR5-8000+ RAM.
