It will “clean up” social media in a flash. A useful tool for everyone

Programmer Tracy Chou has been the victim of repeated attacks on social media. However, she decided to take matters into her own hands and say enough is enough once and for all.

Instead of deleting accounts from social media platforms, she decided to make life online easier for herself and, by the way, others. And this is how the Block Party startup was created.

Social media too toxic?

More and more people are rebelling against toxic behavior on social media. Let’s take an example, for example writer Stephen King, who left Twitter for this very reason/X. More and more people are also changing the X platform, abandoning it in favor of a new one – Bluesky. However, programmer Tracy Chou is convinced that this is not the way to go. Why should we abandon years of activity on our favorite platforms? It’s better to use the detox tool she created.

What is media “cleaning up” according to Tracy Chou?

The programmer remembers perfectly well the moderators’ reaction to the request to remove aggressive comments about herself. In most cases, it was refused because, according to the administrator, the comments did not violate the regulations. Block Party offers a tool that will ensure that we no longer have to watch what we don’t want and that we will no longer become victims. It’s nothing more than that web browser extensionwhose task is to ensure network security. It works on nine different platforms, including X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. It is simply plugwhich is to control who has access to our data when we publish a post. The plugin’s task is also to clean our profile and warn us if we share too much information.

We want to help people so that their online presence is not used against them.

– explains Tracy Chou.

Block Party is currently only available in the USA, so in Poland you can only use it using a VPN. For now, the plugin is paid and its annual cost is approximately PLN 82.
