It arouses a lot of controversy, but it has conquered Polish Netflix

This week, Netflix released the 11-Oscar winner Titanic, and you’d think it would take the top spot. But that didn’t happen. The number one movie was the thriller Lost in the Night.

Lost in the Night is a modest Italian thriller that has jumped to the position of the leader in the top 10 films on Netflix. It jumped over the anticipated Beverly Hills Cop, which did not enjoy this high position for too long. The main character, Elena, is a psychiatrist who moved to sunny Italy, for the love of a man. The couple had two children and eventually the love faded away, and their plans to spend the future together were left with nothing. And everything would be fine, if not for the fact that one night, the children left in the care of their father, were kidnapped. The kidnappers demanded a ransom, which caused a whole series of events. So there is a mystery to solve, and time is running out.

The film is directed by Renato De Maria, about whom critics have written that his “latest production gets lost in a sea of more accessible and suspenseful thrillers.” On Rotten Tomatoes, it has received only 40% positive reviews.

Is this a good movie? Opinions are divided here. One thing is certain, you can’t pass it by indifferently. Critics say that the film doesn’t deserve such a high position. A large group of viewers, thanks to whom the thriller conquered Polish Netflix, have a different opinion.
