Apple is one of those companies that wavers between pushing absolutely revolutionary ideas and extreme reproduction. However, it looks like he’s working on an idea that falls somewhere in the middle of the scale.

The patent granted to the Cupertino giant shows that the company is working on a new version of the computer catch equipped with large touch screen. The computer would stand out above all else an unusual base that allows you to freely adjust the position of the computer from a standard vertical position to a practically lying position. This would make the device better suited for creative applications, replacing e.g. a dedicated graphics tablet.

The idea is simple and quite clever in its own way. However, as industry commentators point out, it is by no means revolutionary. At first glance, the design in the patent application seems confusingly similar to a computer Microsoft Surface Studio, the first generation of which went on sale at the end of 2016.

At the same time, Apple is actually working on a new computer and will not abandon the idea at the stage of obtaining a patent, but we still have a long way to go before such a device reaches users’ desks. At the moment, macOS does not even have full support for touch screens and there is no indication that the situation will change in the near future.
