Intel lowers prices of selected processors
It looks like Intel is slowly starting to clear out its warehouses ahead of the release of the next generation. Price reductions for the Intel Raptor Lake Refresh series are starting in the market.
The latest processors from Blue are a family 14th generation Intel Core, which debuted in October last year. Its culmination is to be a special model – Intel Core i9-14900KS, which is scheduled to premiere tomorrow. However, this is apparently not the end of changes in the company’s offer.
For now, the reductions only apply to the USA
American technology media, such as Tom’s Hardware, draw attention to the model’s price drop Intel Core i7-14700K. This is a proposition offering 20 cores and 28 threads clocked up to 5.6 GHz.
Many stores such as Newegg and Amazon already offer it $389 (approx. PLN 1,525), instead of the starting $409 (approx. PLN 1,600). This is a small but noticeable price reduction. Interestingly, the Intel Core i7-14700KF, the same model but without a graphics system, has not been discounted.
Why did the Blues decide to reduce the price? One can only speculate. One likely reason is to make your purchase more attractive compared to an older but more powerful one Intel Core i9-13900K or competitive AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3Dvalued at just $389.
The second reason is to prepare for cleaning the warehouses before the launch of the family Intel Arrow Lake-Swhich is scheduled to hit the market later this year. For now, it is not known whether the reductions from the US will also reach Europe.
